Event Details
Our next outing will be to the International Printing Museum in Carson on Thursday February 27th at 10:00. Our 2-hour tour will include a tour of the museum and interactive constitution convention reenactment. Las Candalistas members will participate as members of the constitutional convention, we will debate the vexing issues that faced the Founding Fathers: representation, taxation, elections, and the troubling question of slavery. We will have the opportunity to participate in the difficult task of resolving the issues they faced during our nation’s infancy — and resulted in the signing of the Constitution in 1789. Following the Convention, we will enjoy a guided tour through the Museum’s main gallery, highlighting the great documents of history and freedom — as penned and printed by America’s Founding Fathers. The fee for the tour is 250.00 for up to 25 people. The price will depend on how many of us attend. For those that wish to extend the day, we will head to lunch at Eatalian in Gardena
